Below are the most commonly asked questions which we hope you will find helpful, however our website is designed to help you & save you time, not to replace personal contact, so if you have any queries you would like to chat through please do give us a call or e mail us, we are here to help.
How many miles can I do a year?
This is agreed when you take out the contract. The mileage bands range from 5 000 to 40 000. If you exceed the contract mileage then there will be an excess mileage charge. This is simply to give you some flexibility as it is always difficult to be spot on when predicting mileages.

The way prices are calculated has a lot to do with the vehicle’s predicted future value. The more miles you do – the less the car is worth at the end of the contract, and so the vehicle’s depreciation will be greater. This has an impact on the amount you pay each month.
Back to menuShould I do this personally or through the business?
Depending on your circumstances, you may have the option of leasing your vehicle through your business or as a private individual. Have a look at the C02 and P11d value of the vehicle you are interested in as this will effect the amount of tax you pay if you lease a vehicle through a business scheme. It is always worth running the options by your accountant.

Yes and you will still enjoy our competitive corporate rates, however you will be unable to re claim any of the VAT which would be built into the monthly payments.
Back to menuCan I reclaim VAT on my payments?
Currently if you are a business user who is VAT-registered you can reclaim a minimum of 50% of the VAT payable on each contract hire payment. This is assuming that there is some private use. You may be able to reclaim the whole amount of the monthly VAT if the vehicle is used solely for business use. We suggest you check with your accountant to see if you meet the criteria. If your contract is maintained, business users who are VAT-registered can reclaim 100% of the VAT on the maintenance element. Private individuals are unable to reclaim VAT Recoverable VAT only applies to VAT-qualifying agreements such as Business Contract Hire and Finance Lease.

The difference between Business and Personal Contract Hire rates is usually the VAT element. Private individuals will not be able to re claim the VAT and it is therefore included in the monthly payments.

Contract Hire offers you complete peace of mind knowing that at the end of the contract there will be no negative equity to worry about ( the Leasing Company takes the risk on depreciation) or concern about how to dispose of the vehicle. You will also be free from having to negotiate troublesome part-exchange prices with the dealers.

Yes, if you feel that is the right way forward for you we can help your source new & late used cars at competitive prices. Please be aware though that we work with the dealers and not in competition to them, and if you just want the best deal and are not looking for personal service then perhaps you will not need us to help you. We have customers who we help supply their vehicles on outright purchase & they rely on us to supply their vehicles at competitive prices without having to do all the work themselves.

Depending on the type of agreement you choose, you may be able to purchase your vehicle at the end of its contract. We have schemes that offer this facility.
Back to menuWhat if I change my mind about the type of contract I want?
The only aspect of a lease contract you can change once you are in possession of a vehicle is the mileage. You can change the agreed mileage as long as there are 6 months left on the contract.
Back to menuHow much deposit do I need?
The amount of initial payment can be tailored to meet your exact requirements. Our advertised rates in our Green Machines section will always display the most traditional approach, which is an initial payment of 3 monthly rentals in advance. Initial payments start from as low as just one rental in advance or can be any variable amount of money that suits you. Obviously, the higher the initial payment made, the lower your monthly rental will become.

The advertised rates in Green Machines do not include a maintenance package, but it can be added - please let us know if you would like a quote. You need to be aware that is your responsibility to make sure the car is maintained in accordance to manufacturers’ recommendations.

The maintenance packages offered includes full servicing in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations, replacement tyres (subject to fair wear & tear ) batteries, exhausts and all other serviceable items, for the duration of the contract.
Back to menuIf I have a fully maintained contract, where do I take my car for servicing?
You are free to take your vehicle to any of the manufacturer’s approved UK-based dealerships which could be your local dealer.

No, car insurance is one of the few products we don’t currently offer.
Back to menuAre the cars you supply brand new cars?
Most of the vehicles we supply on Contract Hire and Leasing are brand new unless specified. Occasionally we have Special Offers on pre registered vehicles. We can help you with the supply of late used vehicles on outright purchase if required. In this case vehicles are sourced through main UK dealers and would be under 3 years old.

No, all the vehicles we supply are sourced from the manufacturer and UK-based franchised dealer network. All of our new vehicles come with a full UK manufacturer’s warranty and therefore can be taken into your local dealer for warranty or routine servicing work.

Depending on the type of vehicle, we can usually deliver within 14 working days. If the vehicle is a specialist specification, then we will offer you a factory build time. We will always quote approximate delivery dates when quoting so you know what to expect.
Back to menuWhere do the cars come from and how will they be delivered?
All the vehicles we supply are sourced directly from the UK franchised dealer network. Delivery to you will take place at an agreed time direct from the supplying dealer. We currently offer an a.m. or p.m. delivery service to your business or home address.
